Germany- I was very lucky to go to Germany for training last week. The people there were very hospitable and fed us very well! We had lunch at the factory canteen and was very surprised by how big the portions are!
In the evening we all cooked our own dinner and set up the tables at the showroom. The food was great and good company and wine!
Our last evening there, we were taken to a local Bavarian restaurant/bar called Hofreiter in Landshut where we tried the local cuisine. I have to say I dont normally have a sweet tooth but the desserts were the highlights!

Work Lunch with home made Southern fried chicked, Parson's Nose butcher

Me and my colleague popped across the road from work to the butchers to pick up some marinated chicken for a group work lunch. The lovely butcher prepared for us 2 whole chickens with a marinade similar to souther fried chicken. We popped back to work and cooked the chicken in the oven and served with salad, potato salad and coleslaw.....was amazing! Go and get your meat from Parson's Nose!

Creme Brulee

Lord Nelson pub lunch in Watlington- went there after a recent training. Very old and quiet pub, very scenic and full of character. The 2 course lunch was only £12.95 so had to finish off with a dessert.
Definitely worth going off course on the M40 at junction 6 if you on route somewhere!

A glass of champagne at the St Pancras hotel in Kings Cross

After work nibbles and drinks in Kings Cross. Camino is favourite amongst the list of places, plus it is easy to get from via Euston. On route back to the station, we pass the newly refurbished St Pancras hotel and could not help but go in for some champagne! Great stuff!

Update

hey guys
so I have more or less updated the archive with my food adventures from last winter to about now.The next few posts to come will be more recent and some from my holiday to USA in April.
So hopefully I will be more or less in date with when I ate the food and the present date!

Gilgamesh, Camden London

sashimi
Green tea creme brulee with peach sorbet

Miso Black Cod

duck and watermelon salad

calamari, duck spring rolls and scallop dumplings
Gilgamesh- I had my birthday dinner at Gilgamesh back in May. The food was truely amazing. We opted for the tasting menu at £47.50 each...expensive but worth the try! The sashimi was melt in the mouth...with a bit of dried ice magic show! The best dish had to be the black cod!

Cupcakes

Buttercup Cupcakes

Hummingbird Cupcakes

Lola's Cupcakes
Cupcakes- ok so when it comes to cupcakes, where is the best place to go in London? I have to say just depends where you are and what flavours you are looking for. For a red velvet cupcake I would recommend going to Lola's or Hummingbird, with Lola's selling the mini ones if you don't want to over indulge! Buttercup at Westfield has the divine Vanilla Purist....
