Wahaca, Westfield

Wahaca, Westfield- needed a break from shopping at Westfield. The weather was nice so I wanted to sit on the southern terrace so decided to go to Wahaca for a drink and snack before leaving.
The citrus fizz (have a mojito if you are not driving!) was refreshing and the tortilla chips and guacamole is a favourite of mine!

HK Diner, Chinatown

salt & pepper soft shell crab

beef in black bean sauce

roast duck and rice

HK Diner, Chinatown- after an expensive cocktail at the W hotel, it is definitely a good idea to pop down th road to HK Diner for a cheap but delicious dinner.
Started with salt and pepper soft shell crab, followed by road duck and rice. My friend had the beef in black bean sauce. With tea, diet coke and service, a total of 26 quid! bargain!
p.s don;t expect great service, they can be rude but just ignore it! go there for a good, cheap, quick dinner!

HK Diner is located at 22 Wardour Street, Soho

Cocktails at The W hotel

Lady Chatterley's Lover cocktail

The W hotel, Leicester Square- after work drink there was awesome. The lounge bar was stylish and comfortable, service was good. Ideal place to spoil yourself with a great (expensive!) cocktail, conversation and people watching!

The Hart, Stamford Brook

The Hart- local pub/bar near my friends flat in Stamord Brook, west London. We normally go on tuesday where the pizzas are 2 for 1 and there is also a pool table. Unfortunately the pool table was broken and the cocktails we wanted were not available! However the fresh pizza and substitute elderflower and lime cider made up for it!

Cafe Mezza, Watford

Lamb Kafta

stuffed vine leaves

chicken wings & garlic sauce

halloumi and vegetable skewers with cous cous

lamb & chicken shawarma

fried halloumi

Cafe Mezza- went out to our local lebanese restaurant for a friend's birthday. The food was good and very good for price! we managed to get 2 free bottles of house wine and a slice of chocolate cake (for the birthday girl) with our meal!
Definitely one place to try if you are ever in watford for dinner!

Germany- I was very lucky to go to Germany for training last week. The people there were very hospitable and fed us very well! We had lunch at the factory canteen and was very surprised by how big the portions are!
In the evening we all cooked our own dinner and set up the tables at the showroom. The food was great and good company and wine!
Our last evening there, we were taken to a local Bavarian restaurant/bar called Hofreiter in Landshut where we tried the local cuisine. I have to say I dont normally have a sweet tooth but the desserts were the highlights!

Work Lunch with home made Southern fried chicked, Parson's Nose butcher

Me and my colleague popped across the road from work to the butchers to pick up some marinated chicken for a group work lunch. The lovely butcher prepared for us 2 whole chickens with a marinade similar to souther fried chicken. We popped back to work and cooked the chicken in the oven and served with salad, potato salad and coleslaw.....was amazing! Go and get your meat from Parson's Nose!

Creme Brulee

Lord Nelson pub lunch in Watlington- went there after a recent training. Very old and quiet pub, very scenic and full of character. The 2 course lunch was only £12.95 so had to finish off with a dessert.
Definitely worth going off course on the M40 at junction 6 if you on route somewhere!

Camino & St Pancras Hotel, Kings Cross

El Camino- mixed platter with sangria

A glass of champagne at the St Pancras hotel in Kings Cross

After work nibbles and drinks in Kings Cross. Camino is favourite amongst the list of places, plus it is easy to get from via Euston. On route back to the station, we pass the newly refurbished St Pancras hotel and could not help but go in for some champagne! Great stuff!
